An independent magazine about old periodicals and how to read them. Not an editorial office, publisher or library, and not connected with the former site on this domain.

Archive

This page is the magazine's table of contents: every section with a short description, so you can find the topic you need right away. Below, we explain what happened to the domain's old addresses, why some links no longer open and where the one address we kept as an information page now leads. If you arrived through an old link, start with the list of sections.

All that remains of the former site is the domain name; everything you read here has been written from scratch.

About the domain's old addresses

This domain used to host a digital archive of old issues of a single magazine. Retropressa has no connection with it and does not continue its work.

Some of the old addresses led to material from that former archive. We do not restore them: for those links the server reports that the page has been permanently removed. We chose not to redirect them to our own articles, so as not to give the impression that the former archive carries on under a new name.

We kept one address but gave it new content: it is now a guide to finding and reading old magazine issues. It opens in the Old issues section (in Russian), and you'll find a link to it at the bottom of this page.

Every other section has been written from scratch and is about reading old periodicals in general, with no reprints and no material from the former site.
